honestly for me, i think i'd be much happier working in an office! haha.
i get paid 1500 when i round up. so its actually much less lah. haha.
i work 5 days a week. and each day, people think that its only from 7am to 1pm. omg, they are dead wrong!! i work on an average of 10hours everyday!! from 7am to 5pm. sometimes 6plus. therefore i average it out. CCAs, house practice, speech day, marking, other stuff as well. so in a month i work 10hr x 5 = 50hrs(per week) 50 x 4 = 200hrs(per mth)
so calculate -> 1500/200= 7.50per hour
a mere 7.50per hour being paid for standing in class to teach, to scream at kids for not listening, to handle difficult parents and other crapy stuff. and i still have to bring work back home to mark and prepare my lessons. AND!! we have no leave!! except for medical, childcare and UPA. so thats why i rather work in an office!! fixed hours. paid OT. no work to bring home. haha. i used to get paid 6 to 7 bucks working part time in a bank. so not much diff is there? and its PART TIME kay...
my parents asked me, "Na, amik cuti lah ikut gi Australia" i was like "MANE ADE CUTI?? ingat Nana own the sch? Cikgu mane ade cuti." they kept saying got annual leave lah.. hello.. as if.. if i go leave as and when i like, sape nak ajar budak2. and my holidays are all burn lor. have to go back for meetings.. prepare this and that. nak gi holiday to relax pun cannot. got to pack and unpack, still tire yourself. might as well dun go. haiz..
so really, u think teachers have an easy life with high pay? (and the pay rise is not alot kay. 100 bucks je.) hah! no man.. no rest at all lah.. i rather work shift i tell u. haha. so, i think the richest among the circle of friends is actually the Policemen! hahaha. no really. think abt it. and for teachers, theres other expenses for the kids okay..
